Prerequisite: You must have completed the following before enrolling in this course:

  • NRA Basic CCW

  • NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT)

Cost: $400.00

Duration: 2 days - 8 Hours each day

Description:     The NRA Certified CCW Instructor Course is intended to teach the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to conduct the NRA Basic CCW Course.

Lesson topics include:

  • Lesson 1 - Teaching Firearm Safety

  • Lesson 2 - Teaching Pistol Nomenclature & Self-Defense Pistol Selection Criteria

  • Lesson 3 - Teaching Ammunition Knowledge and Defensive Ammunition Selection

  • Lesson 4 - Teaching Basic Defensive Pistol Skills

  • Lesson 5 - Teaching Drawing from Concealment

  • Lesson 6 - Teaching Stoppage Remediation

  • Lesson 7 - Teaching Mindset, Responding to an Attack and the Aftermath

  • Lesson 8 - Teaching Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment

  • Lesson 9 - Teaching Firearm Cleaning & Maintenance

The live-fire shooting portion of this class includes the NRA Certified CCW Instructor Qualification Shoot.

  • NRA Marksman Qualification Program Packet

  • NRA Gun Safety Rules Card

  • Range Time & Targets

Registration must be completed and payment made in full for all courses.  Course fees are non-refundable*. 

*Courses are subject to cancellation based on enrollment/range issues.  In the event of cancellation, refunds will be issued.

Required Equipment:                   

  • Ear protection (electronic recommended)

  • Eye protection

  • Firearm  

  • Pistol or revolver.

    • MUST be legal in New Jersey

  • At least three magazine for semi-automatic pistols or 3 speedloaders for revolvers.

    • MUST be legal in New Jersey – 10 round capacity.

  • Belt-style holster, OWB or IWB with magazine pouches.

    • No ankle holsters, chest holsters or under-the-arm holsters.

  • Ammunition, please bring your own.

    • No reloads or handloads allowed.
