Description: The NRA Certified Pistol Instructor Course is intended to teach the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to conduct the NRA Basic Pistol Course.

Lesson 6 - Shooting Positions
Lesson 7 - Evaluating Performance of Beginner Pistol Shooters
The live-fire shooting portion of this class includes the NRA Certified Pistol Instructor Qualification Shoot. This course of fire takes place at 15 yards and includes a total of 20 rounds. 16 / 20 must hit the target which is an 8” target.

Required Equipment:
Ear protection (electronic recommended)
Eye protection
Firearm
Pistol or revolver.
MUST be legal in New Jersey
If you do not have a firearm, we will supply you with one for the live fire portion of the training. We will have many different calibers on hand to choose from.
At least three magazine for semi-automatic pistols or 3 speedloaders for revolvers.
MUST be legal in New Jersey – 10 round capacity.
Belt-style holster, OWB or IWB with magazine pouches.
No ankle holsters, chest holsters or under-the-arm holsters.
Ammunition, please bring your own.
No reloads or handloads allowed.
